Alan Leckey

Alan, a native of Northern Ireland, grew up amidst the turmoil of the Troubles, experiencing first hand the loss of friends and family members. Despite these challenges, Alan found solace and strength in the mountains from an early age. He joined the Scouts and a mountaineering club at school, fostering a deep passion for adventure and the outdoors.

Alan's love for the mountains has taken him on expeditions across the globe, from Alaska to South America, Europe, Africa, and the Himalayas. Witnessing the transformative power of nature, he has seen how it can change lives through combining his passion for travel with work in the outdoors industry. Collaborating with numerous youth organizations Alan has developed and run numerous programmes for young people from troubled backgrounds, teaching them to overcome adversity and build personal resilience, using the power of the mountains and the great outdoors.

Alan trained with the Human Givens Institute as a therapist and is a certified business coach. He works in management development and as a behavioural change specialist. Holding multiple mountaineering and hill walking qualifications, Alan brings a unique blend of adventure, therapy, and leadership to Men Mind Mountains.
